Optimising a WooCommerce Store for a German Retailer
Challenge
The client ran a WooCommerce store selling to customers across Germany and had reached the point where small annoyances had piled up into real problems. Pages were taking too long to load, a handful of plugins nobody could quite remember the purpose of were still active, and checkout felt clunkier than it should. They didn't want a rebuild. They wanted someone to go in, work out what was actually slowing the store down, and fix it without breaking anything that already worked.
Approach
Ashikur started by testing the store the way a real shopper would, adding items to the cart and running through checkout on both desktop and mobile while timing each step. He went through the plugin list to see which ones were doing real work and which were just sitting there loading scripts nobody used anymore. From there he worked through the fixes in order of impact, tightening up checkout first since that's where lost sales actually happen, then cleaning up the front end so pages loaded faster.
Outcome
The client summed up the experience afterward: "Ashikur helped us with our web shop where he was very responsive and professional. I recommend work with him." The store came out of it running noticeably lighter, with a checkout that didn't lose people halfway through, and no more guessing about which plugins were safe to update.
